FMF Foods Sponsor Sukuna Bowl

For the second year FMF Foods Limited is sponsoring the Ratu Sukuna Bowl competition which will be held in Suva on December 17.
“Despite border closures and the impact of COVID-19, we are hopeful that the competition would brighten up the spirits of Fijians and for the love of rugby,” FMF Food Limited’s managing director Sanjay Punja said yesterday.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Fiji Police headquarters between FMF’s Punja, Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho and Major Monty Naulumatua from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
“The competition that started in 1951 encourages brotherhood amongst the two forces and FMF encourages the same” he said.
“Any sport or activity that brings people together should be encouraged for the greater good of the country.
“We are proud to be associated with the Ratu Sukuna Bowl and we intend to continue with the sponsorship in future.”
The Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Qiliho acknowledged FMF’s support noting the challenging economic environment.
“Our officers from both camps worked tirelessly in support of the Ministry of Health’s efforts in dealing with the pandemic. FMF’s financial support as main sponsors, allows members of the two institutions with their families and supporters to end the year on a high,” Brigadier General Qiliho said.
The Fiji Police are hosting this year.
