Robust No.8 Nemani Nagusa looks forward to playing for the Fijian Drua when the Super Rugby Pacific competition gets underway on February 18.

The 33-year-old Rararua, Nadroga, native aims to take his game to another level.

The former Flying Fijians forward was among the local-based players that flew out of the country yesterday. The side went into camp at the Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre in Lennox Head, New South Wales, Australia.

Nagusa, who is among the veterans, is not expecting the captaincy role.

“Very privileged to be part of the Fijian Drua team,” the former Newcastle Falcons rep said.

“I’m humbled and proud to be named in the squad.”

Nagusa said he wants to contribute positively to the team and make the Drua, a formidable force in the competition.

Looking ahead, he has no intention of retiring from the game.

“Time will tell. Right now I’m focusing on what’s ahead and the Drua. I still have that determination in me,” he added.

The former Fijian 7s captain has played 16 Tests for the Flying Fijians.

Apart for the Falcons, he has played for French club Aurillac along with Tasman Mako in New Zealand.
