Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Secretary-General, Jagan Chapagain.
The relocation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) storage facility from Malaysia to Fiji will ensure quick resource mobilisation for Fiji and the region.
The request to made known at a bilateral meeting yesterday along the margins of COP26 between Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Secretary-General, Jagan Chapagain.
The new storage facility is expected to be part of the Blackrock Project currently underway in Nadi.
The IFRC has pledged greater partnership in the advancement of humanitarian needs and services.
