Exceeding Expectations: Tanoa Hotel Group’s Second Tradeshow A Success

Tanoa Hotel Group’s second trade show marks a long way in understanding the needs and exceeding the expectations of the tourism market, its area general manager Narend Kumar said.
The second trade show was held at Tanoa Plaza in Suva this week, as a continuation of success to its inaugural event last year.
The event will continue to as an annual event, Mr Kumar said.

Part of the signature dishes launched at the Tanoa Hotel Group, during the tradeshow at Tanoa Plaza, Suva.
The trade show provided firsthand information on development and new promotions, he said.
The event brought together key managers of the group under one roof, to meet and greet guests, Mr Kumar said.
“A lot of times, when clients call in, they don’t see who is making money and who is managing the hotels,” he said.
Feedback from last year’s trade show is being addressed, Mr Kumar said
“We did a survey on the expectations of clients,” he said.
“We have incorporated the feedback in our strategies.
“Where we saw risk, our owners saw charity.
“The key to our survival was that our owners saw this as a time to invest in.”
Tanoa Hotel Group has invested in its properties on the mainland, Mr Kumar said.
“We have brought back not to be repeated or beaten deals at your doorstep,” he said.
“They can buy or book now and enjoy later, during the festive season.”
Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Faiyaz Koya officiated at the event.
Airports Fiji’s Landside Operations and Customer manager Joe Gray also officiated.
Tanoa Plaza general manager, Mere Rakoroi said the trade show was an oppportunity for guests to bargains for cheaper rates at its domestic resorts.
Five signature dishes were also launched during the second trade show.
The signature dishes will now be available across Tanoa hotels.
