2 Remain Serious At Hospital After Bavu Vehicle Smash Up

Two people are in serious condition at the Lautoka Hospital after they were involved in a two-vehicle smash up at Bavu, Nadroga on Sunday.

Police Media Officer West Manasa Tabuakula confirmed the incident involved a three-tonne truck that was on its way towards Sigatoka and a private car with five people inside. The car was on its way towards Nadi.

“There was an accident at Bavu, seven people were conveyed to Nadi Hospital,” Mr Tabuakula said.

He added that a total of five people were discharged yesterday.

“Two victims were still admitted at hospital, one from the three-tonne and one from the private car,” he said.

Police investigations are underway.
