Value City Opens In Rural Ba

Value City opened its first rural outlet in Nukuloa, Ba, yesterday.
While officiating at the opening event, commissioner Western Mesake Ledua said the $80,000 investment would bring services and products to the rural area.
He said it aligned with the Commissioner Western and District Administration in Ba.
“The Value City outlet located here centrally in Nukuloa will strategically serve the districts of Naloto, Nalotawa and Magodro,” Mr Ledua said.
“The Government is pleased that Vera Chute, through her family-owned company Value City, has had the vision and wisdom to recognise the potential,” he said.
“They (district residents) would have otherwise forked out money for bus fares and carrier hire to go to the Ba town to buy such items.”
Mr Ledua said the new Value City outlet would create four immediate jobs and indirectly employ seven people.
“The outlet will retail pre-loved clothing, toys, footwear and related items same as Value City’s all other shops throughout Fiji at extremely low prices and with good quality,” he said.
Value City currently has three warehouses and 15 branches in the country’s major towns and cities.
The company recently created seven new job opportunities.
The new outlet employs four staff members, while three employees have joined the Lautoka warehouse to accommodate stock for the Nukuloa outlet.
