Lee Sets Sight On $5K Prize

While in quarantine Sam Lee spends most of time psyching up for the Amigo Traders Denarau Open Pro-am 2021 on Saturday.
Lee, had returned to Fiji on Monday morning after competing in six professional events in the United States.
He is currently undergoing a three-day mandatory quarantine in Nadi.
“I am playing this weekend, it should be fun,” Lee said.
“Feels good to be back home, and see family and friends; I played six events in the last month and half. I have been practicing in Oklahoma.”
Defending champion Zoheer Ahmad, a sure starter, is hopeful that he will return home with the spoil.
He had won the Fiji Rum & Co Pro-am last Saturday via playoff.
Other top professionals in the fields include Suva based Tomasi Tuivuna and Lautoka giant-killer Roneel Prakash who have both confirmed their participation in the stroke event.
The men’s amateur category includes Nadi businessman Abid Hussein, and Eric Nand, while in the women category will see robust Bella Cho, Raina Kumar, Tiri Taylor and Debi Gibson who recently set a course record at the Denarau Golf course.
Tournament coordinator Amitesh Chandra said the event is supporting the Zen’s Medical Centre and Pernix Fiji PTE Limited.
Up for grabs among the professionals is $5000 while $3500 is at stake for the amateurs.
