The lighting of the Christmas Tree is the perfect way to begin the spark of some joy and the arrival of festive season.

This tradition has long been part of Tanoa Hotel Group as they celebrate every religious and national function every year despite what the year holds for them.

However, Christmas and New Year have always been special as this is a time to reflect on the past and then look ahead to the future.

It is a time when the Tanoa Hotel Group thanks all their families, colleagues, industry and business partner and valued guests for all the support during the year.

They look forward with hope to a much better New Year.

This year is extra special as they were honoured to have the newly appointed President of the Republic of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere join them for this event.

A delighted Narend Kumar, Area General Manager, Tanoa Hotel Group said: “We could not have asked for a better time to seek the President of Fiji’s blessing to officiate 2021 Tanoa Hotel

“This coincides also with his recent appointment and providing him the opportunity to visit the west as his first official travel and to deliver his festive season message to the people of Fiji.”

Mr Kumar highlighted the team at Reddy Group and Tanoa Hotel Group had gone all the way in making Ratu Wiliame’s visit as memorable as possible not only to the invited guests, but to the people of Lautoka as a whole.

Hosting the Head of State is always an honour, and the team did not leave any stone unturned to ensure the invitation protocol including the traditional welcome ceremony “qaloqalovi”.

This was performed to the highest standard to show their appreciation to His Excellency in accepting their invitation.

“As part of our corporate social responsibility and one of Tanoa’s core values, we celebrate success not only with the Tanoa Family, but the community we work in.

“And with the festive season comes a time of giving to the less fortunate, we have included a Christmas Gift Drive to bring smiles on the faces of needy kids at Loloma Home Orphanage this Christmas.”

“Some of the kids from Loloma Home were also present at the event and we were delighted for His Excellency joining us in providing the gifts from our invited guests and from Tanoa Hotel Group to these kids after the lighting of the Christmas Tree,” added Mr Kumar.
