Dubai Nightingales Visit Fellow St Bedes College Ex-Scholars

United Arab Emirates (UAE) Fijian nightingales and former St Bedes College students Maliana Lupe Matameli and Akanisi Toloi paid a surprise visit to four national sevens reps at the Interconnental Hotel, Dubai on Wednesday.
The players are Manueli Maisamoa, Iowane Leone, Daniele Yaya and Iowane Teba.
The nurses Matameli and Toloi presented national reps Kokonut Pacific products to the four national reps.
Old scholars Maisamoa is from Nadavaca, Natewa while Leone, Yaya and Teba are from Nukubalavu, Savusavu.
The St. Bedes Ex Scholars association after its launch a few years ago has a wide global network that has been involved in the school’s projects.
The college is situated in Savarekareka, Savusavu.
The co-ed school that caters Years Nine to 13 was built in 1879; it also has boarding facilities.
“This is a joyous occasion, we are lucky to present them early Christmas presents while they take part in the Dubai sevens,” Toloi said.
“They are also our relatives, it is good to catch up with families and a proud moment to see a handful of them playing for Fiji,” she said.
Toloi’s children Lario and Vacisema Nima Pago were also present during the presentation.
