The case against six Opposition MP’s and one former Government MP has been transferred to the High Court Anti-Corruption Division.

The MP’s are: Niko Nawaikula, Salote Radrodro, Simione Rasova, Adi Litia Qionibaravi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Peceli Vosanibola and former Government MP Vijendra Prakash.

The ruling was made by Resident Magistrate Jeremaia Savou yesterday after the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption made submissions to have it transferred because of the seriousness of the case and for public interest.

The MPs are charged with one count each of False Information to Public Servant and Obtaining Financial Advantage.

All accused persons were present in Court yesterday except for MP Adi Litia Qionibaravi.

Their bail has been extended and the case has been adjourned to January 3, 2022 for first call in the High Court.
