State Serves Disclosures To Accused Person In Remand Facing Murder Charge

The State has served a copy of the disclosures to a remanded accused person who is alleged to have killed his bedridden father in July.
The 38-year-old farmer, Korotolu Tasere, of Draubuta Village in Navosa is facing one count of murder.
The alleged assault of his bedridden father resulted in his death.
It is alleged that the accused was drunk when he committed the offence. He is currently remanded at the Natabua Corrections Centre in Lautoka. The matter was called before High Court Judge, Justice Sunil Sharma at the High Court in Lautoka on Tuesday.
State lawyer, Unal Lalm, told the court that he had served a copy of the disclosures to the accused and sought leave from the court to file the information.
Justice Sharma granted leave to the State. The matter has been adjourned to December 21 for mention.
