Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the all-new home learning environment during the lockdown, 15 students of Fiji Agape Mission Kindergarten students of Votualevu, Nadi graduated yesterday.

Pre-school teacher Salote Bainivalu said the challenges and the COVID-19 situations faced this year forced her students into online learning.

Two weeks before graduation they were given clearance from the Ministry of Education allowing them to hold some face-to-face classes. This was only limited to two-hours per session.

“So we have about eight students in the morning and the rest in the afternoon session.”

Ms Bainivalu said all her students passed the face-to-face pre-test examination and all were ready to start Year 1 next year.

She acknowledged the parents and guardians for the sacrifices they have been making in assisting their students at home with their schoolwork.

Meanwhile, 19 Year 1 students at the Fiji Agape Mission School also held their graduation event at the school premises at Votualevu in Nadi.
