Cargo vessel Capitaine Wallis v381 has encountered main engine problems whilst on route between Fiji and Tuvalu.

Shipping company Neptune and Pacific Direct Line has confirmed this stating that the vessel would need to be further assessed.

“After a period of seeking to complete required repairs whilst in transit we have decided to return the vessel to Fiji for further assessment and repairs.”

 

“We are aware there are urgent cargoes on board the vessel and will keep you updated with contingency plans as soon as possible.”

Capitaine Wallis v381 has made frequent trips to Fiji to offload cargoes.

The vessel’s current position is at the South Pacific Ocean en route to the port of Suva, Fiji, sailing at a speed of 8.6 knots and expected to arrive there on Dec 17

This vessel was built in 2003 and currently sailing under the flag of Singapore.
