The Ministry of Health and Medical Services received 10 oxygen concentrators and 25 single beds, mattresses, blankets and pillows from the members of the Shree Laxmi Narayan Temple in Suva on Wednesday.

While receiving the donation, Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete acknowledged the support rendered by the devotees of the temple during the peak of the second wave of COVID-19 in the country and also to families affected by recent natural disasters.

Dr Waqainabete said the donations would go a long way in assisting the Health Ministry and especially towards Fijians who would benefit greatly from the oxygen machines and beds.

Temple active member Dennis Lal said they looked forward to continuing their assistance to the Health ministry in future.

Mr Lal said the donations were from the goodwill of the temple members.

He acknowledged the hard work of all health frontline staff who worked tirelessly in containing the COVID-19 virus.
