Fiji Pearls Unaisi Rauluni and Ema Mualuvu have been named in the Northern Mendi Rays squad for the 2022 Hart Sapphire Series.

This is part of the Athlete Immersion Programme, which is part of the PacificAus Sports Partnership with Netball Australia and the Austrlian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Mualuvu was a part of the 2021 programme, while this is the first time for Rauluni.

The duo will benefit from high-performance coaching and training, leadership development and personal development opportunities.

Fiji Netball Head Coach, Unaisi Rokoura says “This is a great opportunity for our two squad members to fine tune their craft in a different setting and to learn new skills.”

“We will have the opportunity to reconnect with them in March at the PacificAus Sports Series in Sydney and I cannot wait to see what they bring to our training and playing environment,” she said.

Netball Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Vivian Koster adds Netball Fiji is pleased that two athletes have again been selected for the Athlete Immersion Program and knows that this will be another motivating factor for local netballers as more playing opportunities are made available to them.
