Kasimiro Dinono Passes Away

The late deadly left striker was also regarded a scoring machine. Dinono was inducted into the Fiji FA Legends’ Club during the 2020 Fiji FACT tournament in Labasa.

The Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel, board members and the football fraternity is saddened to learn about the passing away of former Seaqaqa, Labasa and national team striker Kasimiro Dinono.

Dinono died at his home in Labasa on Christmas Day.

Patel acknowledged the supreme contribution by Dinono in the football arena.

 

“It’s a huge loss. He had been a great footballer and an inspirational leader of his time,” Patel said.

“I convey my heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolence to the grieving family and I pray to the Almighty that his soul rests in peace.”

Dinono started his football career in Seaqaqa in the 70s and later joined the Labasa football side and was selected in the national team.
