Lynda Tabuya Takes Leap To Rabuka’s Alliance, Sleeper Cells Urged To Follow

Lynda Tabuya says she has no malice against SODELPA and wished them all the best after she resigned this morning.
In a statement released this afternoon, party leader Viliame Gavoka said while they accepted her resignation, they were saddened that she departed bad mouthing the leadership of SODELPA.
“We have always suspected and we believe it is now affirmed, that she was with us to demolish the leadership of SODELPA with the support of Rabuka and his sponsors.”
Ms Tabuya follows in Filimoni Vosarogo’s footsteps and has joined Sitiveni Rabuka’s People’s Alliance Party.
In a press conference at the Holiday Inn, journalists were surpised when Mr Rabuka introduced a “hijacker” followed by the grand entrance of Ms Tabuya.
“With the supporters from the Nasinu constituency including the blessings of the head of the Yavusa Matanikorovatu Ratu Paula Rawiriwiri in Kalabu as well hundreds of thousands of supporters in Fiji and overseas have expressed their disappointment and disillusionment with the current state of the SODELPA leadership,” Ms Tabuya said.
“After listening carefully to them, I have taken their advice to join Sitiveni Rabuka at the People’s Alliance Party.
Tabuya says she is thankful for Rabuka’s faith in her and is extremely confident that the People’s Alliance will form the next government.
Meanwhile, Mr Gavoka has called on the rest of the PAP sleeping cells in SODELPA to follow suit and follow Ms Tabuya.
In the 2014 general elections Ms Tabuya stood under the People’s Democratic Party banner. In the 2018 elections she stood for SODELPA and was popular among the youths. This year will be her third elections under a different banner, the People’s Alliance Party.
