Fire Fighters, Police Officers Rescue Pregnant Woman As Flood Waters Rise in Rakiraki
The woman was tranported to Rakiraki Hospital.

NFA and Police officers rescued a pregnant woman in Rakiraki.
Fire fighters and Police officers in Rakiraki rescued a pregnant woman earlier today.
Minister for Education Premila Kumar took to Twitter to thank the officers for their bravery.
She said: “Thank you NFA for the brave act.
“NFA Officers and Fiji Police Force from Rakiraki managed to rescue a pregnant women during this bad weather condition and safety transported her to Rakiraki Hospital. VINAKA TEAM.”
The pregnant woman was carried in what looked like the bottom half of a water tank. At least eight officers had to wade through flooded waters to take the woman to safety. She was later transported to hospital in a waiting vehicle.
She later delivered a healthy baby girl.
