A number of sitting parliamentarians have confirmed they are re-applying for SODELPA.

However, one, Ro Filipe Tuisawau, who had applied to stand under SODELPA banner for the 2022 General Election, has since withdrawn his application.

SODELPA has received 35 applications for those interested to be one of the candidates for the 2022 General Election.

Opposition Members of Parliament for SODELPA who have applied are:

• Aseri Radrodro,
• Mikaele Lewere,
• Simione Rasova,
• Tanya Waqanika,
• Jese Saukuru,
• Viliame Gavoka,
• Inosi Kuridrani,
• Adi Litia Qionibaravi
• and Anare Jale.

The Opposition Members of Parliament for SODELPA who have not applied to stand for the 2022 General Election are:

• Niko Nawaikula,
• Ratu Suliano Matanitobua,
• Peceli Vosanibola,
• Ratu Tevita Niumataiwalu,
• Salote Radrodro
• and Mosese Bulitavu.

Four had informed the party that they would be stepping back from politics, and they are:

• Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu,
• Ro Teimumu Kepa,
• Ratu Antonio Rabici Lalabalavu
• and Mitieli Bulanauca.

SODELPA is hoping to contest 55 seats in Parliament.
