Al Hamd Strives To Become The Best Online Store

Al Hamd Smart Living is the latest retailer to implement BSP’s Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) online payment portal for its online store, alhamdfiji.com

Managing director, Ashfaaq Khan, described the development as part of the company’s ambition to become Fiji’s best online store and acknowledged BSP’s support.

“This will boost our online operations to include acceptance of BSP EasyCard or VISA card payment,” he said.

“It will include the ability to view transactions in real time with easy transaction reconciliations.

“Our consumers benefit from a more complete shopping experience that enable them to browse, select items, add them to cart, choose pick up or delivery before paying for it online at the checkout point.”

Emerging E-Commerce

Al Hamd, which has stores in Nadi, Lautoka, Suva and Labasa, has grabbed the emerging e-commerce market that arose from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“My philosophy is that every challenge makes us stronger,” Mr Khan said.

“I believe there is always something good on the other side,” Mr Khan said.

“This pandemic is no different.

“We remain adaptive to the changing environment by adopting BSP’s IPG which enables our customers to shop online from the comfort and safety of their home or office.”

A Word Of Welcome

BSP Country Head, Mr Haroon Ali welcomed Al Hamd Smart Living to the growing group of BSP IPG merchants.

He acknowledged their vision in choosing BSP as a partner in developing their online payment portal.

“We are delighted to collaborate with businesses that share our vision to innovate and adapt in order to stay relevant,” he said.

“Like Al Hamd, we also see growth opportunities for businesses that want to be able to offer their products online.

Al Hamd Smart Living is expected to expand its operations online with a view to reduce its traditional brick and mortar operations.
