UN’s Suva Based Representative Visits The Fiji Pavilion In UAE

Fiji is one of 192 participating nations. For the first time in the history of the expo, every participating country has its own pavilion which comprises immersive cultural experience and discovery of the nation’s uniqueness. The theme of the 182-day expo is Connecting Minds, Creating the Future. It began on October 1 last year and ends on March 31, 2022.

Fiji Pavilion attendants at the Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) welcomed the UN Resident Co-ordinator for Fiji Sanaka Samarasinha.

He was accompanied by UN Resident Coordinator for UAE, Dr Dena Assaf.

In a release by the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport yesterday, it said: “With strengthened partnership with the UN, Fiji remains committed to achieving SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals_ and being a global voice of prosperity.”

The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his ministerial delegation were at the expo early in December.
