Nadi Clan To Mark Historic Launch Tomorrow

The Nakovacake Development Trust will launch its first commercial building at Nadi Town, tomorrow.
The commercial building in Nadi has been acquired by Nakovacake Development Trust subsidiary company namely the Vanua Nakovacake Holdings Pte Ltd.
Nakovacake consists of 1,700 Vola ni Kawa Bula members of Navoci and Namotomoto villagers.
They are members of the land owning unit which owns three quarters of the land in Nadi Town.
The development is historic for its people.
“This is our first commercial building in history since the establishment of Nadi Town in the late 1940s,” Nakovacake Development Trust chairperson, Anare Naivutevute, said.
“It was acquired through the good working relationship with the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs as a whole.”
The Nakovacake Building is located in Nadi Town, and is also known as the FDB Building today.
Acting Prime Minister and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is expected to officiate at the launch.
