Regardless of the impacts the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have on many Fijians, Lautoka businessman, Anushil Goundar remains steadfast to working hard.

The owner of the Expresso Onestop drive through located at Lovu, Lautoka has faced a lot of challenges amid the global pandemic. Upon shifting into his new container last year where he operates his restaurant from, the 27-year-old said the third wave of the pandemic had slowed his food business.

However, this hasn’t stopped Mr Goundar from carrying on serving his customers.

Apart from the restaurant, he also operates a canteen, mini gas station and a car wash.

“Now this container that I am in has my shop, kitchen and my little office and sleeping area where I stay on days that I stay back at the shop,” he said.

“This year as soon as the third wave started, business started to slow down and movement was really slow compared to other days.

“I am doing home deliveries as well so that really helps. Business this time is really down compared to the last two waves of COVID-19.”

The restaurant, canteen, gas station and car wash is open from 4am until midnight.
