Fa’alogo-Bull, George Sworn In For Top Jobs In High Court, Magistrates Court

She holds a Professional Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Bachelor of Laws from the University of the South Pacific, Emalus Campus in Vanuatu and a Certificate in Law (Criminal Law) from the University of the South Pacific in Suva.

Siainiu Fa’alogo-Bull and Waleen Maria George were recently sworn into top positions in both the High Court and Magistrates Court respectively.

Ms Fa’alogo-Bull was sworn in as the acting Puisne Judge of the High Court. Her swearing in was officiated by President Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere.

Ms Fa’alogo-Bull graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waikato in 1993 and obtained a Bachelor of Laws & Professional Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the South Pacific in 2007. In 2008, she was admitted to the High Court of Fiji as barrister and solicitor and joined the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. She became a Resident Magistrate at the Labasa Magistrate’s Court and in 2014 was appointed Master of the High Court in Labasa. Ms Fa’alogo-Bull is also the current Chairperson of the Northern Division Liquor Licensing Authority.

President Ratu Wiliame  also officiated the swearing-in of Ms George as Acting Chief Magistrate of the Magistrate’s Court.

Ms George is the current Senior Resident Magistrate at the Suva Magistrates Court and would act as Chief Magistrate.

She holds a Professional Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Bachelor of Laws from the University of the South Pacific, Emalus Campus in Vanuatu and a Certificate in Law (Criminal Law) from the University of the South Pacific in Suva.

Ms George was admitted to the High Court of Fiji to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in September of 2006 and also joined the DPP’s office as a Legal Officer.

In 2011, she joined the Judiciary as Resident Magistrate at the Nausori Courts before being transferred to Suva in 2012 and was later promoted as the Senior Resident Magistrate in 2018.
