Nanuku Resort’s Sisi Nasiga Is The Baton Carrier To Commonwealth Games

Nanuku Resort’s very own Wellness Coach, Sisi Nasiga will carry Her Majesty The Queen’s Baton on its journey to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
She carries it alongside judo athlete Nacaneli Takayawa.
The event is scheduled from July 28 to August 8.
Ms Nasiga was honoured to be recognised and selected among the Commonwealth Games competitors, meeting and reuniting with athletes who represented Fiji in past games.
Ahead of International Women’s Day (March 8, 2022), Nasiga proudly carried the official Baton from Suva to Albert Park.
Until Ms Nasiga’s retirement from competition in 2013, she held the South Pacific and Oceania title for Women’s under 70kg and open weight category.
Ms Nasiga now proudly leads a bespoke and comprehensive wellness programme at Nanuku Resort, sharing her passion for health and fitness with guests.
Ms Nasiga is a Bronze medallist in the 2002 Commonwealth Games Manchester and two-time Olympic Games competitor (2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing).
She holds a slew of accolades including 2nd place in the All-Japan University Judo Competition in 2006 and 5th place worldwide in the 2004 World Judo Championships in Egypt.
