Love Our Locals: Peninsula Hotel To Have A New Gym Area

Suva Peninsula Hotel is planning to have an in-house gym area.
This was revealed by general manager Polly Ciusia as the hotel hopes to grow its operations.
Mrs Ciusia said while discussions are on-going, the objective was to have adequate facilities available within the hotel for guests and staff.
“We want to make our guest feel at home by having all the facilities available to them in one location without having to step out of the hotel,” she said.
“Having a gym area would also encourage our staff health and well-being.”
“Having properly health and well-being amongst our staff will also help better our staff to the guests.”
She added the hotel was recognized by Tourism Fiji as a quarantine facility which helped boost sales and occupancy rate.
As local and international guests quarantined at the hotel, Mrs Ciusia said service was up to par to meet the demand.
“They had to spend three days quarantine here at the hotel and everything was in-house so they didn’t have to step outside,” she said.
“Our bar and restaurant area were busy during this time as guests wanted to enjoy their stay while waiting for clearance.”
As curfew restrictions were lifted, she said guest arrivals also picked up for the hotel.
Mrs Ciusia said the hotel currently offers standard rooms from $150 per night which has been popular amongst guests.
“We had to renovated some of the rooms and our Baka lounge which was also renovated was quite busy,” she said.
We hope to continue upgrading our facilities and improve on our services to the guests.”
Suva Peninsula Hotel’s baka lounge opens from 4pm – 10pm.
