Bhavik Patel, a man from Punjab, India, saw the opportunity of opening a business while he was studying in Fiji, and he did exactly that.

Mr Patel and his wife Nirali, opened their clothing business six months ago in Navua under an investor permit. Their business is called Niralben Patel Investment Pte Ltd. They plan to open four branches in Fiji.

Ms Patel is also a designer.

“We are planning to open another branch in Nakasi by the end of this year as we have a large number of customers and followers on social media from this area. Now we have two employees, and we are looking forward to creating more employment once we open another branch in Suva,” Ms Patel said.

“Our long-term goal is to open four branches around Fiji as we have our own firm in India and I am a fashion designer by profession. I design my own products and get them supplied here in Fiji and for this reason we have the best quality product that we can sell at an affordable price for people in Fiji.”

Ms Patel said they were in the process of identifying what the customers needed so they could cater for the demands from Fijians.

“Our focus is on helping the customers identify what they want and need as soon as they enter the store through the use of superior personal customer attention, great product selection, and reasonable prices, the company will capitalise on this promising opportunity,” she said.

“The appropriate location will help efficiently lay out and plan the store to increase sales and give the customers the utmost in attention. The management team has a wealth of business, financial, and mechanical experience that will ensure a great investment and the overall success of the venture.

“The projected growth rate is quite steady and has the potential to grow exponentially along with the increase in residential development.”
