Busy Bees Bar and Cafe has opened in Cuvu, Nadroga.

Buzy Bees Bar and Cafe opened in Cuvu, Nadroga.

Minister for Employment, Productivity, Industrial Relations, Youth and Sports, Parveen Bala, officiated at the launch.

“Productivity is one of the key drivers of the human resources sector,” he said.

“Cuvu has a well trained community of workers.”

“I urge all of them to keep up the Bula spirit in this venture, and become productive and be innovative workers.”

“As a worker, it is your work that determines your worth.”

“It is good to see our former Fiji residents continue to have Fiji in their hearts,” Mr Bala said.

“Apart from digging into their pockets to help families back home with remittance, they are also prepared to invest in their homelands.”

“Investments such as this will greatly help in the recovery process.”

Bar and cafe owner, Kulsum Nisha, is a former resident of Cuvu, who brought in a taste of Sydney, Australia.

Miss Nisha invested more than $100,000 in the bar and cafe.

The cafe and bar are the result of five restaurants in Sydney.

“The idea was born out of having coffee with a friend in Sydney,” she said.

“Cuvu has no coffee shop.”

“I wanted to bring that concept here.”

“It is now more than just a coffee shop.”
