Knowledge sharing is important to uplifting other women in the banking sector.

Being in the banking sector for more than 10 years, HFC Corporate Manager for Business Banking, Devika Prakash said women are capable of leading a team.

Ms Prakash believes knowledge sharing allows women alike to shar ideas and grow together.

“I have been very big on knowledge sharing because I see that woman work well in a team so if we share what we know with each other, we can learn together and grow together,” she said.

Being the second eldest of the family, her parents have always looked up to her.

She said being an independent person plays well when committed to being the best in the banking sector.

“Here at HFC we have a lot of programmes to inspired women in the banking field.”

“I joined in 2019 as the business relationship manager and I later was appointed to a senior corporate role.”

“I have been working with our general manager in rolling out these programmes, I have seen that women are well represented in HFC bank.”
