Oceania Hospitals Pte Limited is making this year’s International Women’s Day a bit more special by offering heavily discounted health packages for women.

Oceania Hospitals Chief Executive, Murgessan Pillay (Morgan), said they are offering many different types of health test packages for women.

“These are offered either as individual tests or as a package of multiple tests,” he said.

This special is in line with this year’s theme being “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”.

“Our aim is to always recognise such events and offer specials deals to honor such occasions.”

“This is not to say that we are not competitive with our services during other times,” Mr Pillay said.

“Essentially, our aim is to actively show our support to these occasions in our own small way and also promote that women’s health matters.”

Oceania Hospitals has offered a window of one week for “bookings” only.

Mr Pillay stressed the actual tests can be planned for anytime during the month of March.

“We understand that every woman who wants to take advantage of our offer may not be able to do it on the ‘IWD’ or within that week even,” he said.

Celebrating IWD
Mr Pillay believes International Women’s Day is a day to acknowledge and honor women around the world for the contributions they make each day in the communities, society and our lives.

“Women’s role has changed at an accelerating rate where most of them are now part of politics, law, business, medical professionals etc.,” he said.

“Women all around the world need to be given equal opportunities in every field, irrespective of gender.

“Therefore this year’s theme of “Gender Equality today for a Sustainable tomorrow” is a clear indication that we are progressively moving in the right direction of creating equal opportunities.

“We need to create an environment or world that is free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.”

Almost 80 percent of the staff members employed by Oceania Hospitals are females.
