Nadroga Welcomes Ex-Stars

Nadroga football head coach, Nadeem Mohammed says, it was an honour for him to work with former Nadroga star defender and coach Archie Watkins and other former district reps.
Watkins coached the Stallions to win the 2001 Fiji FACT tournament at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
“Yes, I can confirm that Archie Watkins is assisting me as the team mentor together with other former reps like Kaminieli Tuilawaki and Waisea Tale Junior,” said Mohammed.
He said the presence of Watkins has made a huge difference in terms of discipline and commitment, which has made his job much easier.
Nadroga are placed at the bottom of the points table with three losses from all their matches and they are looking at turning things around against Labasa, this Sunday.
“When you look back, Nadroga has not won a match for a while.
“We’re working hand-in-hand to achieve a win against Labasa.
“This is what Nadroga fans have been waiting for not only this year but since last year,” he added.
“I’m working very closely with Archie who has already proved himself both as a player and coach, years back.
“I’m confident that this is the way forward for Nadroga Football.”
Nadroga introduced four players in their 5-0 loss against Ba but they are likely to introduce more talents this weekend.
“I ask our fans to be patient and trust the process and good things are on its way for football in Nadroga.”
Mohammed called on their loyal fans to keep supporting the players and officials as they work together towards restoring lost pride in the district.
