St Andrews Receive Gear And Cash

The Andrews Primary School football teams in Nadi were presented with new sports gear yesterday.
The donation was given by the Central Coast Mariners Football Club in Australia was given to the school by Spot Go company owners, Brendan and his wife, Nancy Small who also donated $500 cash.
Sports gear included jerseys, shorts, hats and soccer balls.
Small said the Central Coast Mariners FC opted to donate gears to a school in Fiji that was worthy of it.
He said Spot Go was fortunate to partner with the Central Coast Mariners.
“Once they heard that we were coming over to Fiji, they contacted us,” Small said.
“They wanted to donate these gear to a school that’s worthy of it and to boys that are really having a go with football,” he said.
“Your sports teacher can work out where to best use this $500 we are also giving.
“It is just awesome to hear you guys playing football; we are passionate about football in Australia.”
School head teacher, Dharmendra Reddy said there were close to 50 students that were part of the Under 14, U-12 and U-10 teams in the school.
Reddy said in the past years the soccer boys have done wonders – they are the inter-primary football U-14 and U-12 winners.
