Rosi Doviverata Is Fiji Sun’s Acting Publisher/CEO

Fiji Sun’s Managing Editor – Digital and Readership Development, Rosi Doviverata, has been appointed as the Acting Publisher/CEO.
It comes after a board meeting yesterday with senior managers and board members – the chairperson Ratu Ilaitia Tuisese and director Ashok Desai.
Ms Doviverata holds a post graduate diploma in Journalism Innovation and Leadership from the University of Central Lancaster (UCLan) in the United Kingdom, an Executive Master of Business (EMBA) from the Fiji National University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South Pacific.
She is currently doing a six-month fellowship with Oxford Climate Journalism Network.
Ms Doviverata is the President of the Fijian Media Association (FMA) and is an active participant and selected facilitator of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).
“I’d like to thank the board members for their faith in me and I am honoured to take on this interim role,” Ms Doviverata said.
“Of course, the support from the staff, senior managers, our readers and stakeholders will ensure we continue to innovate as a news publisher.”
Ms Doviverata’s acting appointment is effective until a substantive appointment is made.
The interim appointment follows the death of the Fiji Sun’s Publisher/CEO Peter Lomas last week.
