If you’re going to get gold out of the ground, follow Tuvatu, a visiting Canadian mineral and exploration duo said.

This, as they revealed that Lion One’s Tuvatu alkaline gold prospects showed great potential for growth.

EMX Royalty Corp’s general manager of exploration, Eric Jensen, and geologist, Jeffrey Edelen, are in the country for a site visit.

The two are here by invitation of Lion One’s vice president, Sergio… who worked with the two previously.

They surmised their findings of the past three days as a geological ingredient which was “favourable” and “legitimate”.

“The industry should do more of these projects,” Mr Jensen said.

He spends most of his time travelling the world for similar work.

“We’re always looking for new opportunities,” he said.

“You can’t understand something like what Tuvatu has unless you’re here, boots on the ground.

“It can’t be done remotely – not through platforms like Zoom.”

More often than not, the team arrive at a site, and in 15 minutes, discover the initial discovery is a “joke”, he said.

However, the same can not be said of Lion One’s Tuvatu alkaline gold prospects, Mr Jensen said.

“This mineral deposit is unique in terms of geology,” he said.

“A very few places in the world – like North America and Papua New Guinea – provide such similarities,” Mr Jensen said.

“The beauty about such positioning lies in its environmentally benign state,” he said.

“That means, it’s not harmful to the environment, and does not create a mess,” Mr Jensen said.

EMX Royalty Corp manages over 300 projects, globally.
