The Australian Men’s 7s team are here for business says, head coach John Manenti.

The side arrived last Sunday and have been training under the Lautoka heat preparing for the Mini 7s tournament that starts today at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

“We are really excited for the tournament,” said Manenti.

He indicated that they had a reasonable good start in the HSBC World Sevens Series.

“Fiji wasn’t in Spain and New Zealand wasn’t in Spain and Dubai so we judge ourselves against the two best teams in the world.

“Fiji are the Olympic champion and New Zealand are the world champions. They are the two best teams along with South Africa in the world right now.

“It is a great opportunity to play the best teams in the world. It is great to be here in Fiji and the people here love their rugby.

“Everywhere we go whether we are getting petrol or buying water, the people are stopping us to take photos and it is fantastic for our players to experience that too.

He added that it is going to be tough to play against NZ and Fiji but they are going to give their best.
