IHG® (InterContinental Hotels Group),the world’s leading hotel company announces the appointment of Akshay Chand as Area Director Information Technology South Pacific.

Mr Chand, will be leading the charge for Information Technology and Digital Support for IHG ® South Pacific including InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Holiday Inn Suva, Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu and the ongoing conversion of Inter- Continental Grand Pacific Hotel Suva.

Mr Chand has been with IHG ® from 2015 and has close to ten years of experience in IT business management, strategy, transformation,
digitalization and program management.

In his new role, he will oversee infrastructure and operations, enterprise architecture, IT security operations, application development, and corporate support.

Based out of Holiday Inn Suva, he will report directly to Area Director of Finance and Business Support with dotted lines to respective property General Managers and Senior Manager Property Technology IHG.
