Late Western Force Penalty Stun Fijian Drua

A last minute penalty saw the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua go down 20-18 to Force at the Leichhardt Oval in Sydney, Australia, this afternoon.
What Happened: The Drua started strongly and had territorial advantage.
The strong winds at the Leichhardt Oval disrupted their lineout throws with two being judged as not straight.
The Force slowly worked their way into the Drua territory using their veteran lock Jeremy Thrush and Izack Rodda leading the charges.
They took the lead in the 19 th minute when Thrush drove over the try line from a rolling maul with Ian Prior adding the extras.
Prior kicked over a penalty in the 25 th minute to extend their lead to 10-0.
The Drua began to force their way back into the game with winger Vinaya Habosi scoring a try from the series of passes.
Tela’s conversion was hooked away by the breeze.
Trailing 10-5, the Fijians dominated play with halfback Frank Lomani finding gaps in the Force defence.
It was unfortunate the Samu Tawake’s try was disallowed for an earlier knock on.
Tela converted a penalty in the 42 nd minute while Ollie Callan of the Force was yellow carded for several infringements.
Halftime: Drua 8-10 Force.
The Force kept the ball close to their forwards as they extended their lead from a converted try.
The Drua replied with Kalaveti Ravouvou breaking through the defence for Frank Lomani to score their second try and Tela adding the extras.
Tela put the Drua ahead with a converted penalty before the Force fought back to kick over their winning penalty.
