As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Tanoa Group of Hotels would like to acknowledge its women leaders.

It is interesting to note that out of the 6 hotels Tanoa owns and operates in Fiji, 3 are managed by women.

What is morea mazing is all three ladies have been groomed from within.

Mere Rakoroi who is the General Manager for Tanoa Plaza Hotel in Suva, Rameshwari Mani who is the Manager at Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel in Rakiraki and Ashlyn Nair who is the Manager at Tanoa Waterfront Hotel in Lautoka.

All three attribute their success to their mentor, Mr YP Reddy.

No doubt it is Mr Reddy’s identification and firm belief in their abilities that has taken their career to heights.

The Reddy family is known for grooming local talent.

Today we have numerous testimonials of how the Chairman, Mr YP Reddy, Managing Director Rohit Reddy, and Director Kamini Reddy have been personally involved in the development of their team.

The directors and management have repeatedly motivated us to challenge ourselves to perform to our full capacity’ was a comment from one of the team members during the Tanoa Executives Meeting held on Wednesday, 16 March 2022 where Managing Director Rohit Reddy was also present.

It was indeed a memorable moment to recognise and celebrate our women’s’ success with our Managing Director who was equally delighted to be part of the event after being away for two years due to the global pandemic.

Director Ms Kamini Reddy believes in equal opportunities and is a strong advocate of empowering women in the organisation.

She herself is an inspiration to the ladies of Reddy Group and while she was not part of the meeting in person, she shared her below message with the team.

‘’When I think about International Women’s Day (IWD) and the 2022 theme, #BreakTheBias and what it means to us at Reddy Group, the words gender equality, diversity, independence, strength, and support comes to mind.”

“Collectively we can choose to challenge the status quo to create truly inclusive and supportive environments where women can excel and constantly achieve their full potential.

As a leader in a progressive organisation such as Reddy Group, I believe we are on that journey and have women in leadership positions in the organisation which I am very proud of.
