Dr James Fong Commends Aspen Medical on Concept of Inclusiveness

Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, Dr James Fong has commended Aspen Medical for inculcating in their work the concept of inclusiveness.
It is understood that Aspen Medical would be recruiting several Fijians with disability into its workforce under the Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Under the PPP, Aspen Medical would develop, finance, upgrade, operate and maintain the Lautoka Hospital and the new Ba Sub-divisional Hospital under the 23 years contract.
Dr Fong said he was content that Aspen Medical was looking at their role in a broader context.
“I think we should congratulate them for taking on these precepts of inclusiveness and their work culture and that is something that we are definitely happy to work with Aspen especially as a partner if they are able to capture some of our own concepts of holistic health care,” he said.
