Solomon Import To Debut For Nadi Football League

Solomon Islands import Jaygrey Sipakama will make his debut for the Nadi Football in the Digicel Premier League fixture against Ba at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi this Sunday.
The 28-year-old striker went straight into training soon after arriving into the country last week.
“I am happy to join Nadi and thank the board for this opportunity,” Sipakama said.
“As a striker, I want to score goals and or assist Nadi; I know that the Ba team is a champion side. As a team let’s continue to support the Green Machine.”
Sipakama, was runner- up in the Solomon Islands Premier league for scoring 13 goals last season.
During the Solomon Island Cup he won the golden boot awards for his agility and skills on the attack that does leave defenders biting the dust.
Nadi FA president Max Chetty said: “Sipakama is one of the three imports secured during the international transfer.”
“We have secured three Solomon Islanders in the side, the other two, William Komasi (defender/midfielder) and Alvin Hoe (Futsal) are arriving after the Solomon Islands team return from Qatar,” he said.
Chetty confirmed that the Nadi fans are based in Australia, New Zealand, and the US were funding their new recruts.
“We are thankful to the fans overseas as they have made it possible this season, they will foot all the bills in regards to these three players.”
Chetty urges fans to support the team’s fundraising drive at the Nadi Club tomorrow.
