The Emosi Baleinuku coached- Sevens Football Club are ready to make their debut in this season’s Nadi Football Association’s local league competition.

Sevens FC president, Sher Ahmed, confirmed this during the club’s launch at the Sevens Restaurant in Nadi  on Friday 25th Mrarch,2022.

“The club was founded last season by some die hard Nadi fans but the plan did not go ahead as the pandemic forced the cancellation of the competition,” Ahmed said.

He said they have 43 players who reside at Navakai, Sabeto, Martintar, Nawaicoba and even in the town area.

“We have new kits and training gear which were sponsored and we will be competing in the premier division and hopefully work ourselves up.

“The team is in good hands under the watchful eyes of former Fiji and Nadi star striker Emosi Baleinuku, who will be the coach.

“This is all part of growing the game of football by exposing these hidden talents.”

Nadi FA secretary and team director Mohin Rafiq said, they are encouraged to have more teams in the competition.

“That is good news because running a football club is not easy. This club has hard working officials and the players are fortunate to be part of the local league,” he said.

Nadi FA president Max Chetty said they are working hard on securing a major sponsor.
