The Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua are a threat to ending defending Super W champions NSW Waratahs’ 20-match winning run.

According to rugby.com.au, Friday’s clash at the Cbus Stadium in Gold Coast, Australia shapes up as the match of the tournament.

Both teams have by far been the two top premier sides in this year’s competition and it’s tough to argue against either side making the final.

The Drua are the biggest threat yet to end the Waratahs’ unbeaten streak, with the key to this game coming down to whether the defending champions can find a way to shut down their potent attack.

It has been a quiet weekend for both teams with the Fijians being reinforced with the inclusion of former sprinting champion Younis Bese and Vive Sikisawana.

But, let us take a look at three Waratahs star players who the Drua should keep an eye on.

MAHALIA MURPHY

The winger turned fullback who scored five tries in the 67-10 win over the Rebels.

Murphy represented Australia in rugby union and rugby league.

She also played for the Australian 7s team and participated at the 2015 Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.

The 28-year-old also played for St George Illawarra Dragons inthe National Rugby League (NRL) Women’s Premiership.

The strong running No.15 could be a threat if the Drua gives her space to move.

EVA KARPANI

The prop who runs like a winger. Her 60-metre dash to score a try to score against the Rebels is the talk of the Super W competition.

She has earned the name K-Train, for bulldozing her way through oppositions over the past eight years.

Eva also played for St George Illawarra Dragons in the National Rugby League (NRL) Women’s Premiership.

The Waratahs are using her as an impact player and it has been most effective.

GRACE HAMILTON

Hamilton is the captain of the NSW Waratahs and the Australia Women’s rugby team.

She mostly plays at No.8 and in rugby league she represented the Sydney Roosters at the National Rugby League (NRL) Women’s Premiership.

She always leads by example and is in the thick of things during game time.
