Brian Thorburn Calls On Vocal Local Supporters

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua chief executive officer Brian Thorburn is urging Fijians to come out in numbers and support the Drua next month.
The Drua will host the Highlanders in Round 11 of the Super Rugby Pacific competition on April 30th at 4.35pm at the ANZ stadium in Suva.
In a zoom conference yesterday Thorburn said: “We are looking forward to a sell out stadium. We had tickets on sale for the public about ten days ago.
“I’m confident that fans will buy their tickets and come out in numbers to support the Drua,” he said.
“We are extremely grateful to the Government for their support in their monetary assistance, it really helps a lot.
“We encourage all Fijian fans to get their tickets early, it is important for our team who have played six rounds and now their seventh against Waratahs this Friday.
“None of those matches were played in Fiji; we need the vocal local group of supporters to cheer the Fijian Drua on that day.
“To make the team feel at home, to embrace the support of local Fijians most importantly make the players know the support of fans here at home.
“I urge all Fijians please do come in and get those tickets before they are finished.
“You will see a range of commercials from television, press and social media – you name it just to get the message out to fans so we can fill that stadium.
“One of the things we are considerate of is trying to make sure that tickets are affordable for all Fijians.
Ticket Prices
“50 per cent of stadium tickets available are in the grass embankments.
“We have got $30 for adults and $15 for kids; we got more expensive tickets elsewhere.
“There are more tickets available in that lower category.
“That is especially done for everyday Fijians so they can come down and support their team.
“They are available on purchase at all Post Fiji outlets around the country.
“Those tickets are on sale right now, in fact from last week.
Tickets start at $30 (Grass) for the adults and $15 for the kids at the bronze category, silver is $75 (Concrete), gold on either sides going at $150 and platinum at $180
