Five friends of the non-government organisation (NGO), Circle of Friends are on a mission to bring smiles to the children of Lautoka.

The group members, Ishaad Khan, Moses Brown, Naaz Nisha, Gabby Lawrance and Jay Waqa had previously planned to begin the year by spending time with children in need.

While on their trip visiting some children in Lautoka, they also remembered their late group member and renowned radio announcer, Michael Faga.

Fijian-born, Ishaad Khan, who now resides in Brisbane, Australia, led his team to cater for afternoon tea for the students of Sunshine Special School in Lautoka as well as for students of Lautoka School for Special Education.

“Our team had previously planned this trip before my arrival in Fiji and I honestly could not wait to meet them and head up to the schools to visit the students,” Mr Khan said.

The team runs the NGO on their own, forking out funds from their own income enabling them to reach out to the vulnerable in many communities
