Veidreyaki Passes Away
Former national sevens coach Peni Veidreyaki passed away early this week in Lautoka.
Veidreyaki had coached the national sevens team to the first World Sevens Series (1999/2000) where they narrowly missed out to New Zealand for the top spot.

Former national sevens coach Peni Veidreyaki passed away early this week in Lautoka.
Veidreyaki had coached the national sevens team to the first World Sevens Series (1999/2000) where they narrowly missed out to New Zealand for the top spot.
The series was then known as the International Rugby Board (IRB) series. Veidreyaki coached top rugby players like Viliame Satala, Vilimone Delasau, Fero Lasagavibau and Setareki Tawake to name a few during his term.
Details regarding the late Veidreyaki’s funeral arrangements are yet to be confirmed.
