This is a worthwhile assistance, especially during this continuous rainy weather condition.

Naseakula Village headman Rauwate Tadai said this when he received six compost bins from Minister of Environment Mahendra Reddy last week.

“We have more than 12,000 people in these areas and usually we dump waste from the kitchen or garden at a temporary dumping site or rubbish dump near the farms or back of the house,” Mr Tadai said.

He said now people could easily identify where to throw rubbish and then to use it later as a manure in their garden or farms.
