Two Year 11 students who allegedly stabbed a Labasa taxi, driver were granted bail by the High Court in Labasa on Tuesday.

The students aged 18 and 15 appeared before Justice Daniel Goundar.

They were represented by Legal Aid lawyer Reema Raj.

As passengers in the taxi they allegedly stabbed and robbed the taxi driver at Banisucu, Labasa last Thursday night.

They allegedly stabbed him on the right and left side of the face below the ear with a cooking knife.

The 28-year-old complainant tried to flee to the nearest house for help.

The duo were each charged with aggravated robbery.
