Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua outside centre Litiana Lawedrau, following her debut Super W match last month, was sent home for breaching camp rules.

Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor did not want to divulge into the details of Lawedrua’s issue when contacted yesterday.

“Litiana came back about three weeks ago because of some disciplinary issue; she is now back playing club and provincial level,” O’Connor said.

“The severity of her case does not deny her the opportunity to continue playing here.

“She flew back with Mela Matanatabu, who was injured in their debut match against the Rebels.

“Sera might be staying out of rugby for some time as she had an operation on her leg due to her injury.”

Outside centre Lawedrau played against the Rebels. She has been replaced by Raijieli Laqeretabua at number 13 since the second match against Queensland Reds

Matanatabu played inside centre in the same match.

Former national sprinter champion Younis Bese and Marist Club rugby centre Vive Sikisawana flew to Australia two weeks ago to replace Lawedrau and Matanatabu.

Meanwhile, Lawedrau is back in the Wallson Suva women’s senior team for the ANZ Marama championship.

Suva are on the top of the points table after beating Nadroga 35-14 in the first round, walking over Yasawa 55-7 in their second game and defeating Nadi 31-7 in Round 3 at Bidesi Park, Suva last week.

“We have been telling the girls to humble themselves, it’s only the third round, they have another 11 weeks to go,” Suva women’s coach Meli Tuifagalele said.

“The teams will get stronger in the second round, they will watch our games and analyse our performance. We have to keep them guessing, keep changing the way we play and our line-ups.”

The capital-city women host Tailevu tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

Other games tomorrow include Namosi v Yasawa at Thompson Park, Navua, Nadi host Lautoka at Prince Charles Park, Nadi while Naitasiri and Nadroga will battle at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
