The People’s Alliance (PA) Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka has made it clear that Veilawa Soko (Soko Detroit) is their National Youth President and his recent trip to Northern Division was approved.

His clearance comes as some party supporters displayed a territorial fight on Facebook over Lynda Tabuya’s post last Sunday.

The post had a photo of Mr Soko accompanied by youth executives beginning their journey to Vanua Levu.

“The national headquarters is aware of Mr Soko’s trip as he comes with approval and some assistance such as sevusevu and other things to assist him,” Mr Rabuka said.

“Although I have not seen him, I’m aware Mr Soko was elected during the party’s national convention and appointed accordingly.”

Mr Soko confirmed his trip was approved and said he was in the Northern Division for two days raising awareness such as updating voter cards.

“Response has been overwhelming,” he said.
