Over 100 golfers took part in the Girmit Open at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa, Suva, this morning.
A lucrative $7000 prize money is be at stake.

Over 100 golfers took part in the Girmit Open at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa, Suva, this morning.
A lucrative $7000 prize money is be at stake.
Speaking to SUNsports, Fiji Golf Club captain, Mahendra Nair, said they are expecting a tough golf tournament.
“We got 126 confirmed starters but we expect the numbers to reach 135,” he said.
“The tournament is organised by Dr Ganesh Chand and it’s good to see a lot golfers turn up for the tournament. It’s a stroke event both professional and amateur are playing.”
Nair said junior golfers are also playing and it is big boost for the sport.
